Double-sided submerged arc welding LSAW steel pipe process
Double-sided submerged arc LSAW steel pipe is widely used in oil and gas pipeline projects, South-to-North Water Diversion Project, subway projects, West-to-East Gas Pipeline and other major projects. But do you know its production process flow?
Plate exploration: the steel plate used to manufacture large-diameter LSAW steel pipe enters the production line, and the whole plate is firstly subjected to ultrasonic inspection;
Edge milling: through the milling machine on both edges of the steel plate for double-sided milling, so as to achieve the required board width, board edge parallelism and bevel shape;
Pre-bending: the use of pre-bending machine for plate edge pre-bending, so that the edge of the plate has the required curvature;
Forming: the steel plate in the molding die first pressed into a U-shaped, and then pressed into O-shaped, so that after the internal and external submerged arc welding
Pre-welding: to make the molding of straight seam welded steel pipe seam and gas shielded welding (MAG) for continuous welding;
Internal welding: using longitudinal multi-wire submerged arc welding on the inside of the straight seam steel pipe;
External welding: using longitudinal multi-wire submerged arc welding on the outside of the straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipe;
Ultrasonic inspection Ⅰ: the internal and external weld of straight seam welded steel pipe and the parent material on both sides of the weld are subjected to ultrasonic inspection;
X-ray inspection Ⅰ: the internal and external weld seams for x-ray ray industrial television inspection, the use of image processing system to ensure the sensitivity of the flaw detection;
Expansion: the full length of the straight seam submerged arc welded steel pipe is expanded to improve the dimensional accuracy of the steel pipe, and improve the distribution of stress within the steel pipe;
Hydrostatic test: in the hydrostatic testing machine on the expanded steel pipe root by root inspection to ensure that the steel pipe to meet the standard requirements of the test pressure, the machine has an automatic record and storage function;
Chamfering: After the inspection of qualified steel pipe end processing, to achieve the required pipe end bevel size;
Ultrasonic inspection Ⅱ: again root by root ultrasonic inspection to check the LSAW steel pipe in the expansion, water pressure may produce defects;
X-ray inspection Ⅱ: after the expansion and hydrostatic test of the steel pipe for ray industrial television inspection and pipe end weld filming;
Magnetic particle inspection of pipe ends: this inspection is carried out to find out the defects of pipe ends;
Anti-corrosion and coating: the qualified steel pipe is anticorrosive and coated according to user requirements.
In addition to the above inspection items, according to API standards and other related standards and some users' special requirements, it is also necessary to carry out non-destructive testing and other inspections on steel plates and steel pipes, including the sampling of physical and chemical properties of incoming raw materials, and 100% appearance inspection on steel plates.
