Steel Angle
Steel angles are one of the most versatile steel products. They are commonly used for structural support in the form of trusses, reinforcing, brackets, support beams and braces. Some construction projects include bridges, warehouses, residential housing, and commercial buildings. Structural steel angles are also used in everyday steel projects like equipment, frames, furniture, shelving (slotted angle) and more.
Steel angle is divided into equal steel angle and unequal steel angle. The raw billet for the production of steel angles is low carbon square billet, and the finished steel angle is devided into hot rolled, normalized or hot rolled state. Steel angle can make up different stress components according to the different needs of the structure, as the connection between components.

Equal Angle:
As the name suggest, equal angles have equal lengths on both legs. This type of angle is excellent for reinforcing buildings due to their tensile strength that comes from equal lengths. Steel equal angles are a favourable material to be fabricated to suit different projects. They can be drilled, bolted or welded to other steel materials or surfaces to withstand greater loads.
Unequal Angle:
On the other hand, unequal angles have different sized lengths and are often used in nonstandard applications. They’re just as strong and reliable as equal angles, and are perfect for construction where varying amounts of support is required, like bridges, vehicles and workshops. Smaller unequal steel angles can be used to create items like shelves, fences, furniture and more. Just like equal angles, unequal angles are often fabricated and cut to size to suit different applications. They can be drilled, bolted and welded to withstand certain loads.
